The Prime Minister of Pakistan recently announced five million houses for poor. A country facing shortage of funds to complete the on-going projects, how come initiate a multi billion dollar project.

Anil Musarat (British real estate tycoon and close aid of PM Imran Khan) said to be quoted that the project may cost $180billion in five years. That is five million Pak rupees per house for income group of twenty five thousands per month.

The banks are not on board, no clear mechanism how these poor will pay this huge amount.

This seems just another tick PTI want for their hundred days plan. This can lure some voters but nothing substantial can come out of such hastily planned projects.

Pakistan do need houses for poor but sadly Pakistan neither have the resources nor any policies which foster such mega development.
